KHARY FOR DNC
Wisconsin is my home and the Wisconsin Democratic Party is near to my heart. The ideals that Democrats stand for are the ideals I have been working towards my entire adult life. But our state delegation to the DNC is incomplete because our focus has been on working for races that have a high assurance of winning and not on all races across this great state.
In 2016 I ran against Jim Sensenbrenner in the 5th Congressional District. I ran in the most conservative and gerrymandered district in the country. I ran in Waukesha, the most conservative city in the state of Wisconsin. I ran as a person of color in an overwhelmingly white district. I ran and earned 114,477 votes all on my own. With proper support from the party, we have a better shot at success and the opportunity to regain the ability to make our voices heard in both the state and national government.
I am a small business president, a board member at Planned Parenthood of Wisconsin, a board member at WAVE (Wisconsin Anti-Violence Effort), and I am a proud Democrat.
Help me help you in electing more candidates running in red districts.
Red districts or districts populated by entrenched Republican incumbents, gerrymandered to include more Republican voters, or districts split to purposely separate large swaths of Democrat voters, see fantastic candidates running at all levels of government who have little opportunity to get their campaigns off the ground because they are considered “unwinnable”. I am here to tell you that couldn’t be farther from the truth.
With proper Party support, these candidates have a better shot at success and we all have the opportunity to turn more districts blue and regain the ability to make our voices heard in both the state and national government.
Together we can change the dynamic.
Together we can flip the conservative seats.
Together we can influence how the Party works, giving voices to those who have been quieted for too long.
We will lose every fight we fail to show up for.
I am asking you to vote for me at the Wisconsin Democratic Party Convention this June.
I want to represent you to the DNC.
